In 2017 I was stunned to come across an actual digital game clock from the Futuristic Zone of the old Crystal Maze set for sale on an auction website, from a prop company. I bought it for a few hundred pounds. It didn't work, but I was able to get it to work after a big struggle. It's genuine, the Circuitboard is still date stamped 1992, and there is also a label on the back of it, 1992 - so it's from the era of Richard O'Brien and Edward Tudor-Pole! It was wonderful to bring it back to life again, a maze fan friend of mine called Jonathan helped me restore it. It was very fiddly, the connections were loose and the soldering had become a bit brittle. But we are preserving, collecting and storing props and relics from the maze here at the Fan Group from one of the UK's all time favourite TV shows.
Been fixing a friends special item. It's nearly back to life. #CrystalMaze @CrystalMazeHQ @TheCrystalMaze pic.twitter.com/VTmvKSjaAN— Jonathon Harris (@jaydrive2000) October 13, 2017
