Almost as suddenly as it started, this series is almost over. However, we've still got one last episode to enjoy. So for the last time this series, who are they? Where've you seen them before? Which one's been on Strictly or I'm a Celeb? Keep reading after the photo.
Georgia Toffolo
First seen on Made in Chelsea, Georgia is a former Queen of the Jungle from "I'm a Celeb...". She's known for her opinions on conservative politics and took part in 'Celebrity Hunted' partnering with Boris Johnson's father Stanley.
Fleur East
Singer and presenter Fleur was first in the public eye during the second series of The X Factor where she auditioned as part of girl group Addictiv Ladies. She later auditioned as a solo singer for its 11th series where she advanced as far as the final, finishing second to Ben Haenow (Nope, me neither). Fleur hosts on national radio station Hits Radio and was also recently seen hosting outside broadcasts for Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
John Thomson
Comedy giant John is most recognisable from shows such as The Fast Show and Cold Feet. He was a regular on Men Behaving Badly as the local pub landlord, and had a couple of stints on soap Coronation Street. He's lent his voice to several projects such as being the narrator on a revived version of children's classic 'Bill and Ben', as well as narrating 'Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners' and 'Police Interceptors'.
Nina Wadia
Nina is probably best known to British audiences for her role as Zainab in 'Eastenders'. She was one of the main performers in the 90's sketch show 'Goodness Gracious Me' and has had roles in several comedies over the years including 'The Vicar of Dibley' and 'Open All Hours'. Nina played a noticeable role in Matt Smith's first episode of 'Doctor Who' in 2010 and more recently had a small role in Disney's 2019 remake of 'Aladdin'.
Natalie Cassidy
Another actress who's best known for 'Eastenders', Natalie has played the role of Sonia Fowler (nee Jackson) since 1993. Natalie is another contestant with experience on 'Strictly Come Dancing', taking part in the seventh series of the BBC's flagship dancing show.
This year has been crap hasn't it, but things are looking up. So here's to a better 2021. And have a very Merry Xmas. If you get bored, here's something to fill an hour:
Does it look like there will not be any more Crystal Maze (Celebrity or otherwise) filmed for the foreseeable future, presumably due to Covid? I have heard some people say "Yes" and some people say "No". What about the future of the American version? Has there been any official word?
ReplyDeleteThere was plans to make more in 2020, then covid happened. And its not a format that can be made with social distancing in force.
DeleteThe US version was casting for a second season and same problem
If there's any official word we knew of, we'd be sworn to secrecy. But hopefully if the vaccine does as we all hope, who knows.
Sadly the way C4 have been moving the timeslot closer and closer to midnight doesn't exactly fill you with confidence that they will commission a new series anytime soon, especially with the Covid situation
DeleteApparently, Richard Ayoade was on Celebrity Catchphrase this afternoon. They were the first programme to have after the Covid lockdown.
ReplyDeleteStephen Mulhern apparently told Richard that he would like to appear on a future episode, Richard replied that they would have to commision it first.
