Thanks to @Danny_L_Kerner for bringing to our attention the first promo image for the US version of The Crystal Maze

As you can see, doesn't look like they've changed much, they're still in the familiar jumpsuits. In fact, the only noticeable alteration looks to be the inclusion of name tags. Something done on the contestant outfits in Ed Tudor Pole's era, although the likelyhood it references that is minimal. More likely it's so the viewing audience gets a bit more familiar with them.
(EDIT: on closer inspection, looks like a Nickelodeon logo instead of name tags. The orange font, the uniform length of whats written, guess it just makes what's on screen more of a Nickelodeon property)
This is from an article hidden behind a paywall on an industry website so I'm sorry there's not more info, but I'm not paying £269 to get at more possible details.
Also,
Dear Channel 4
Look, kids, doing The Crystal Maze just like Christmases of old. I hate to paraphrase the orange bloke across the pond but Make Christmas Specials Special Again. You know you want to see Ayoade trying to deal with smaller, noisier humans.
OMG! This is the Browne family from Carrollton, Texas!
